I found a book written by Ann Batchelder, called Start to Finish, that was printed in 1954 in Woodstock, Vermont.
It’s filled with hints about kitchen tools, recipes and entertaining. I’ll be posting a new hint from time to time.

“Better than a permanent”! Ha!
I love old cookbooks. They are always interesting. I found a recipe for squirrel once and few other non edible (in my opinion) animals. I like the butter curls better.
the serving on a bed of lettuce is what got me thinking….
Perhaps the lettuce helps with the colesterol?
