In Dutch, they are called Nispers…..it took me a year to find out the English name – Loquats.The next time I see them, I’ll be buying them by the kilo to experiment!Welcome back, I’m sure you had a blast away!

I do remember the friut from my time in Israel. It’s called chesek there. In Italy it should be named “nespola” or in Germany “Mispel”

This fruit is a XXXXXXX. I remember it from my childhood in Delhi. The only other place I have been able to find this was in Tooting Bec market in London, where it was worth its weight in gold!! They are delicious eaten chilled. Alternatively, if they are plenty and cheap you can make a jam with them.
